General Paranoyaxc RCX Tools
This package contains a port of the nqc-2.3.r1 compiler, a simple
editor and a remote control program for the Lego RCX.
The binaries are currently only available for some machines. Support
for other devices can be made available on demand.
NQC for
WinCE
NQC is a C-like language/compiler for the Lego RCX. NQC is
written by Dave Baum. The original sourcecode, documentation and
binaries for other platforms can be obtained from his NQC Page.
The current version supports standard RXC, RCX2, Cybermaster and
Scout.
NQCEdit/RCXControl
NQCEdit is an editor for NQC. You can edit, compile and download
programs, download firmware and execute other nqc command strings from
a dialog.
RCXControl is a control dialog using direct serial connection. You
can steer the RCX when it has standard motor connections, poll sensors
and variables and send messages to the RCX.
Notes
For running the IR station with the ActiveSync cable,
you need another null-modem cable and some adaptors, so you use three
(!) null modem cables, or build an adapter, so you do not need the
standard IR cable (an old mouse cable can be used when you cut the
plug a little). The ActiveSync cable is already a null-modem cable, so
switching of TD/RD is not nescessary then. Using the built-in IR port
is not possible.
I have experienced strange serial-comm problems on a Compaq MIPS HPC.
Turning the device off and on fixed the problem, the reset button
did not fix it. There were also some very strange serial buffer problems on
my Jornada680 and Compaq HPC. Had to call PurgeComm(RX) before sending
a command. Otherwise received data was garbled. No problems with
Jornada720.
Please report problems you have with these programs to
Legopold or to
WinCE Devel.
